Doug joined the OAG staff in the summer of 2008 after spending two years as a news anchor for WBUR. Doug is a New York Yankees/Oakland Raiders/Boston Celtics fan, an endangered species rarely seen in the wild. He is also a proud alumnus of Syracuse University and coincidentally bleeds orange, a convenient side effect of an undiagnosed medical condition.

Doug was once the program director of Boston’s first ESPN Radio station. In 2001 he was named Saga Communications’ National Program Director of the Year for his work in the company’s Portland, Maine, group. While living there he mingled with Portland’s Sea Dogs, Pirates and other nautical sporting types.

Doug and his wife live just outside of Boston. Her remarkable lack of interest in sports keeps their household at an acceptable level of normalcy.
