Hockey Paradise by Seven Williams & Brandt Brothers
I can’t accept that Tampa Bay is any kind of paradise.

Mascot Mania by Jello Biafra & Mojo Nixon (from Prairie Home Invasion)
Before I found out about The Dead Kennedys, I had just assumed that with a name like Jello Biafra, you’d have to be the bass player in Fela Kuti’s band. I was nearly 100 percent wrong.

Aerodynamic by Daft Punk (from Discovery)
Oscar Robertson is a classy guy. With that in mind, here’s some French electronic music.

Mexican Shuffle by Herb Alpert and The Tijuana Brass (from Greatest Hits)
What Wikipedia won’t tell you about Herb Alpert is that he was dangerous with a butterfly knife. You better believe the Tijuana Brass was careful to play their parts just right. That’s the key to being a great band leader: fear.

Grand Canyon Song  (from YouTube)
I couldn’t find anything out about this song. It’s an enigma wrapped in a homemade YouTube slideshow. Please enjoy all of that “Ken Burns” effect.

And now if anyone laughs at me in the future (and they will, I know at least one) I had to buy that Herb Alpert song. Mainly because I remember my father had the album in the 60s and would play it now and then. Which I would never have remembered were it not for this podcast. Thank you – I think?
