Tailgating season is in high gear as fans across the country get ready for one of the biggest weekends in college football.  Bill talks with CBSSports.com’s Gregg Doyel about rivalry weekend, the much maligned BCS, and a certain straight-armed gold statue.

In today’s tough economic climate everyone is cutting back on spending, including athletic directors at Division I schools.  This week, Boston’s Northeastern University joined a number of colleges that have opted to cut their underperforming football programs in an effort to save funds.
