The World Championships in swimming, diving, water polo and synchro are taking place in Rome, but the restoration of Rome’s major sports venue has spurred controversy because of it’s fascist artwork. Only A Game’s Nancy Greenleese and freelance photographer Anthony Majanlahti were there to take pictures.

    Italy has, for centuries, been a country defined by its art, sculpture and architecture. This pool is another example of beautiful and rich history of Rome and the entire country. The political history cannot be denied; but, is anything ever perfect?
